Nardos Adane speaks to Seifu on his Sunday show. We heard that the universities of Wolo, Magdala Ambana and Woldea will start teaching students at the beginning of February. State Minister of Education, Dr. Samuel Kefle, told ESA that due to the war waged by the terrorist group HWHT in the Amhara region, the universities of Wolo, Magdala Amba and Woldeya have suspended teaching and learning.
He recalled that the terrorist group ransacked and destroyed the universities during the months of occupation and said that efforts have been made to start the repair work. He pointed out that efforts are still being made to make them carry out necessary purchases and repairs with the support of the government and their capabilities, and to think of alternative ways of running education and put them into work.
As a result, Dr. Samuel stated that the universities of Wolo, Magdala Ambana and Woldea will resume their work by accepting students at the beginning of February. The universities will admit final year graduate students first and others according to their schedule.
