The quality of learning is built by relying on the idea of constructive alignment (Biggs 2011), which emphasizes the alignment between the specific competences and the educational environment with pedagogical practices. Digitization is a basic requirement in the modern professional world, and that is why it is also part of the Hamk strategy as well. Digital competences are developed at all levels of organization and digital tools are widely used in learning processes, for example, on team work projects and study modules. Students produce multimedia digital outputs such as common project plans, presentations, interactive photos, videos and infographics as evidence of their competences. For learning and peer collaboration, use equipment tools, for example, Microsoft teams facilitate the exchange of materials and perform meeting notes, Skype for online meetings and whatsapp to have a conversation to solve daily problems Related to the study module project. Students have the possibility to choose between a variety of digital tools, and teachers can agree with their students who use certain purposes. For some of them, they receive support from the HAMK IT organization, but others are learned with the orientation of teachers. For teachers, this requires a continuous development of pedagogical practices and monitoring of new innovative applications. HAMK supports staff and development students by granting digital open badges (see E.G. Bauer, Siklander & Ruhalahti 2017), for example, collaboration work, pedagogical competences and digital tools.
