In the last five years, modern Ethiopian craftsmen have become famous in the world crafts market, but it is bound to happen.

 

 

 

After only forty years or so of political unrest, famine and war, the East African country has found growing social and monetary power with a growing working class and interest in large framework projects. Since taking office in 2018, Prime Minister ABI Ahmed has pursued a comprehensive change plan that also includes activities to promote culture.

 

 

 

Founded in 1958, the Ale School of Fine Arts and Design in Addis Ababa is one of the most experienced and fascinating art schools in Africa and a center for the development of innovative handicrafts in Ethiopia.
