Ethiopia in 1270, there started the most useful period of Geʿez writing, again described by interpretation, not from Greek but rather from Arabic, however the firsts were much of the time Coptic, Syriac, or Greek. The topic was for the most part philosophical or unequivocally seasoned by strict contemplations. The most intriguing work of this period was the fourteenth century Kebra Negast ("Magnificence of the Lords"), a blend of legendary history, moral story, and end times, the focal subject of which is the visit of the Sovereign of Sheba (Makeda) to Solomon and the introduction of a child, Menilek, who turned into the unbelievable pioneer behind the Ethiopian tradition.

Abba Salama, an Egyptian Copt who became metropolitan of Ethiopia in 1350, was not just liable for an update of the text of the Holy book yet made an interpretation of or prompted others to decipher a few books well known among the Ethiopian unwavering. The melodic Weddase Mariam ("Commendation of Mary") is added to the Psalter (the Hymns) and in this way has practically standard status. In a somewhat later period, about the start of the fifteenth 100 years, different separate existences of holy people and saints, including St. George (the benefactor holy person of Ethiopia), were composed. As of now was embraced an interpretation of the Arabic Synaxarium, containing lives of holy people — at least one for each day in the year.k
