The quality of learning is constructed based on the idea of constructive alignment (Biggs 2011), which focuses on alignment between targeted skills and the educational environment with educational practices. Scanning is a basic requirement in the modern professional world, and that's why it's also part of Hamk's strategy. Digital skills are developed at all levels of the organization and digital tools are widely used in learning processes, for example in team working projects and study module. Students produce multimedia digital products such as current project plans, presentations, interactive photos, videos and infographics as proof of their skills. For peer-learning and collaboration, they use team tools, such as Microsoft teams to facilitate sharing documents and meeting meeting notes, Skype for online meetings and WhatsApp to have a conversation for Solve daily problems related to the study module. Students have the opportunity to choose from a variety of digital tools and teachers can agree with their students that tools are used for certain purposes. For some of them, they benefit from the computer organization of the Hamk, but others are learned with teacher advice. For teachers, this requires continued development of pedagogical practices and monitoring new innovative applications. Hamk supports the development of staff and students by assigning open digital badges (see E.G. Bauer, Siklander & Ruhalahti 2017), in relation to, for example, collaborative work, pedagogical skills and digital tools.
