Consistent with his promise, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed marked a harmony bargain among Ethiopia and Eritrea in July, putting to an end twenty years of unpleasant relations. He vowed to pull out Ethiopian powers from the lines and end the killings. In December, scarcely five months after the harmony bargain was marked, Ethiopia finished up all game plans and pulled out its soldiers from the Ethiopian-Eritrean visitors.
In accordance with the African Union's choice to work on Regional Integration in the mainland and keeping in mind that other Africa pioneers were all the while dawdling one step in the right direction and two stages back, Ethiopia embraced the Visa on Arrival strategy for Africans across the landmass.
