Kemer Yousuf, an artist, was interviewed. Addis Street Art, a collective of Addis Ababa artists, has increased the acceptance of street art as a form of expression that contributes to the continuous beauty of the city. What was previously considered a rebellious art style, is now embracing as a real form of expression by the general public and artists alike.

 

 

 

"When we began these projects with the collective, one of our objectives was to increase the acceptance of the art of Ethiopians as a respectable career option." For years, the artists have been rejected, seen as a type of black sheep, and our goal is to alter it by contributing to society through our work, "said Temesgen Tadele, a member of the collective. Addis Street Art is a project that He gathered a number of independent artists to collaborate in the development of magnificent urban murals, as well as other forms of art that graffiti and other techniques use.
