The endf member talks about Fano. The soldier of the Ethiopian defense force testifies to Fano. Most negotiation models represent parts of conflict as abstract and rational entities. These entities only care about their own well-being. If they care about the gains on the other side, they do it mainly because the relative gains of the opponent can affect his own well-being in the future. Such egocentric preferences imply that wars are like ordinary negotiation situations and strategic considerations on future interactions apart from conflicting parties assess an agreement, whatever their negotiation.

Researchers who study the relationships between social identity, group dynamics and hatred would reject a suggestion such as absorbent. A central question for these researchers is how social identity shapes conflicts and vice versa. Even without conflict, humans tend to pursue a feeling of belonging by the creation of social groups: in a group, to which we belong, and outside groups, from which we distinguish ourselves. These categorizations provide us with a way to identify ourselves in social terms and define our place in society. Because most of us strive to create or maintain a positive social identity.
