What was this story that you wanted to hire you?

For starters, di freight is a story of Ethiopia, where I come, but much more, it defines an example of how the deepest cultural traditions can be transformed from the inside. It is essentially a history of Ethiopian heroism at home by two women who defy the long-standing practice of forced children's marriage. It is an important story and an example, a model in a sense, bravery and willingness to change change. Although this TELEFAX tradition (removal for marriage) is constitutionally illegal, it is still practiced by more than 50 percent of the country today. It is a human rights crisis that needs global support and advocacy. I understood that the challenges of making a film as di freight are huge. There are endless obstacles to getting stories like this on in the world's intimate stories of African women and girls. It makes it all the more important to support independent African filmmakers as a husband, who tells stories from their own point of view of their country of origin. I committed to helping to make this movie in any way.

What changes have come because of the film, and where?

Di Freight brilliantly captures one of the deepest and epic achievements in the struggle for the human rights of women and girls in Africa, and therefore, he drew attention to the question of the marriage of children and the conditions violent in which it occurs. The State Department has begun to address the issue in 2013, but the release of a strategy for adolescent girls has been in a dead point. The petition connected to Di Freight has accelerated the publication of this strategy with the more than 144,000 signatories we have gathered.
