Silent meeting of Ethiopians in Seattle. It is with deep concern that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her Confederate, HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. "HRH passed away peacefully at Windsor Castle earlier today," read a statement from the royal family.
Ruler Philip, the longest-serving collaborator in British history, has been on the Queen's side for more than sixty years. The Ethiopian government today expressed its condolences for Prince Philip's death.
"Ethiopian authorities and individuals extend their condolences to Her Majesty The Queen, the Royal Family, the British Government and individuals in the UK on the death of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh," the State Department said.
Sahle-Work President Zewde also sent Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II a letter of condolences for the death of her half-brother, Prince Philip. In his letter, the President conveyed the extraordinary illustration of the government of his own country shown by the late Prince Philip and conveyed his condolences, as did these people and the legislature of Ethiopia under the presidency.
