Researchers generally divide the Gondarina time frame in two expressive stages. The main Gondarino style (above) is portrayed by the use of bright tones and the concealment deficit. The clothes, often adorned with embellish components, is usually painted in red, blue or yellow and the folds are demonstrated with basic equal lines. The form lines are obvious and the face exhibition is executed using a simple coral red that causes an antinatural impact.

The works painted in the second Gondarina style (below), which was generally grown during the Iyasu II government (1730-1755), have more dangerous variety tones; The form of shape become lighter and a more fragile use of hiding the volume of gifts to the bodies and faces of the figures. Several new subjects, a considerable lot of which were awakened from books printed in Europe, appear during the eighteen years and turned out to be progressively normal to trace representations of donors and followers. Several crosses (such as this processional cross of the British Museum), adorned with representations of the Virgin Mary, Jesus and the Holy people were created during the second piece of the Gondarine time frame.
